Ençà
Ençà is a wine inspired by the legend of the mermaid and the shepherd and the poem "L'Empordà" by Joan Maragall "La sirena se feu un xic ençà i un xic ençà el pastor de la muntanya". The image of the wine reflects a love story that Empordalia has transferred to the world of wine as a perfect synergy between two grape varieties, Grenache and Carignan. A tribute to the land of L'Empordà.

In the vinyeard
The vineyards of Cariñena and a part of those of Garnacha, are of slate slopes and are located in the villages of Rabós de l'Empordà and Garriguella. The other part of the Grenache vineyards are located on sandy soils in the village Pau.
In the winery
They are harvested in September at the optimum time of ripeness. Maceration and fermentation for 25 days at a temperature not exceeding 24°C. The wine rests between 3-6 months in French oak barrels, then it is aged in the bottle.
Empordàlia
Empordàlia is the union of small producers from the region of L'Empordà, who have been working the land for many generations. They stand out both for the production of wines and extra virgin olive oils.
Do Empordà
Wine culture reached Catalonia around the sixth century BC thanks to the most important Greek colony in the country, Empúries.
Four centuries later, the wines of the Emporiae territories were well-known in domestic markets, in other provinces of the Roman Empire and in the metropolis itself.
