Passerell
A "passerell" is a small bird, about 13cm, with brown plumage and reddish chest. Empordàlia has chosen it to pay homage to nature through the region of l'Albera, in the Empordà. The resulting wine is a deep Grenache of intense color, round palate and good structure. Do not miss it with some tapas, grilled meats and cold cuts.

In the vinyeard
Grenache vinyeard found in the Vilamaniscle area, close to the french border, planted on alluvial soils.
In the winery
Maceration and fermentation for 25 days at a controlled temperature below 24ºC. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for a short period of time and then rests in the bottle.
Empordàlia
Empordàlia is the union of small producers from the region of L'Empordà, who have been working the land for many generations. They stand out both for the production of wines and extra virgin olive oils.
Do Empordà
Wine culture reached Catalonia around the sixth century BC thanks to the most important Greek colony in the country, Empúries.
Four centuries later, the wines of the Emporiae territories were well-known in domestic markets, in other provinces of the Roman Empire and in the metropolis itself.
