Pairing notes
The versatility of this wine makes it ideal for any type of occasion. We recommend it to accompany a family meal, one of those that you know it will last until nightfall. And the main course of the meal? Mom's stew, of course!
Occasion
An ideal wine to pair with traditional catalan dishes, such as "escudella i carn d'olla", roasts and stews. But it is also a good companion for an assortment of cheeses.
In the vinyeard
The Grenache and Carignan vineyards are located in hillside areas of slate and sand. Those of Merlot are alluvial and those of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are of shale or sandy.
In the winery
The proportion of Grenache and Carignan with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is calculated. Alcoholic fermentation of 10-15 days at a temperature below 24ºC with maceration of 21 days. Nine months in French oak barrels. Coupage of the best barrels. Rests in bottle for one year.
Empordàlia
Empordàlia is the union of small producers from the region of L'Empordà, who have been working the land for many generations. They stand out both for the production of wines and extra virgin olive oils.
Do Empordà
Wine culture reached Catalonia around the sixth century BC thanks to the most important Greek colony in the country, Empúries.
Four centuries later, the wines of the Emporiae territories were well-known in domestic markets, in other provinces of the Roman Empire and in the metropolis itself.
This is much more than just a bottle of wine
Viniscoop's wines and cavas are authentic products of the land. They are made by agricultural cooperatives, which represent hundreds of farming families.
With your purchase you are promoting the social, economic and environmental sustainability of the territory, offering opportunities to young people in rural areas and enjoying authentic products, made following the tradition inherited for generations.
Our values make us different. Cheers and good wine!
