Cabrida
Cabrida is a wine for true Grenache lovers. It was one of the first quality Grenache wines to be bottled in the D.O Montsant and, at the same time, represents a commitment to 100% red grenache by the Cooperativa de Capçanes. Considered the "first great 100% Grenache wine in Spain" by Juan Fernández Cuesta (prestigious taster and responsible for the ABC wine guide).

Pairing notes
Reserve a bottle of Cabrida for a good occasion: a celebration or one of those special moments. Ideal for those more gourmets and authentic wine lovers, enthusiasts of red Grenache and the delicacies of the land. It is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic wines of Celler de Capçanes. In it, you can feel the purest essence and work of this winery.
Occasion
The freshness of this Grenache makes this wine a perfect companion to fattier dishes such as duck magret, creamy cheeses and pig's feet. Highly recommended to pair with mushroom risottos and roasted white meat.
In the vinyeard
Old red Grenache vines aged between 60 and 110 years planted in a clay and granite soil, on terraces.
In the winery
Maceration of 30 days. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak foudre (3000L) at a controlled temperature (24-28ºC). Aged for 12 months in French Foudre (3000L), light and medium toasted. Subsequent aging in stainless steel tanks for 2 months and gentle filtering, if necessary, before bottling.
Celler de Capçanes
Capçanes Celler is located in the south of the DO Montsant. A territory with centuries of wine history that the winery is proud to be able to show through its wines.
The winery was founded in 1933. 50 years later, he began to bottle his own wines and in 1995 he began the production of his kosher wine with the Mevushal method.
Do Montsant
In 1932, the Falset subzone was created within the limits of the DO Tarragona, which had previously occupied the current territory of the DO Montsant (finally created in 2001). It currently has a total of fifty-nine wineries spread between the Priorat and the Ribera de Ebro. The DO covers everything from family vineyards to private wineries of various sizes and major cooperatives.
