Perlat is one of Cellers Unió's flagship wines, renowned for its structure and aromas. After the creation of the DO Montsant, Perlat was one of the first wines to appear under this designation of origin. Since the 2017 vintage, the winery has stepped up quality both in the wine and in its image, which give it a huge personality and a truly special appeal.

Intense and elegant
Wine with an intense ruby colour, clean and bright, with violet hues.
Great aromatic complexity, black fruit accompanied by hints of liquorice, coffee, chocolate and nuts.
Very fresh, mellow and rounded. A silky midpalate influenced by fruity sensations. Lingering and velvety afterTastinge.
Red wine that spends more than ten months maturing and intensifying in premium quality barrels, in keeping with the Mediterranean tradition. In it you can Tastinge the ripe fruits, spicy touches and tannins that come from wood ageing. A new style of Perlats.
Between 14 and 17 degrees
Ideal for all kinds of red meats, game, lamb, stews, cold cuts and cured cheeses.
This wine easily pairs with a whole host of dishes and with more informal meals. It delivers a good balance of acidity that is a fanTastingic tool to counteract a slightly oily dish, triggering a refreshing sensation. Meanwhile, the red wine tannins, which come from the skin of the grape and the wood of the barrel, leave an astringent or drying sensation in the mouth, cleansing the palate and leaving it ready for the next bite.
In the vineyard
Selected vineyards in the Guiamets area over 30 years old, with low yield, with chiefly honeycomb soils. These soils add complexity to the wine, with a good water retention, which is very interesting in today's climate crisis episodes.
In the winery
This Syrah is produced at the Els Guiamets winery, which guarantees the maximum amount of fresh fruit. Fermentation with selected native yeasts. Barrel ageing for a minimum of 10 months (60-70% French oak, and the rest American oak).
In 1942 the Union of Cooperatives of the Camp of the Province of Tarragona to Reus was constituted. The entity was created with the aim of bringing together all the farmers of the province.
Three years later, Unió acquired the first facilities on Tivoli Street in the city of Reus, popularly known as "La Exportadora". In 1945 the Priorat Designation of Origin was born. That year, Unió bottled its first bottle of DO Priorat wine. In 1963 the Union of Cooperatives of the Camp of the Province of Tarragona is separated from the State and becomes a private entity.
In 1932, the Falset subzone was created within the limits of the DO Tarragona, which had previously occupied the current territory of the DO Montsant (finally created in 2001). It currently has a total of fifty-nine wineries spread between the Priorat and the Ribera de Ebro. The DO covers everything from family vineyards to private wineries of various sizes and major cooperatives.
