L'Esparver Blanc By Eric Lahon
Result of the partnership between the Cooperativa Falset-Marçà and the sommelier Eric Lahon. Made from the Garnacha Blanca vines that Lahon bought in the DO Montsant. The idea is to showcase the maximum expressiveness of this variety, the iconic white variety in the area. The delicate fermentation and ageing in French oak barrels give the wine a remarkable personality.

Occasion
It's always fascinating to find out the opinion of experienced foreign sommeliers about a wine, a territory or a winemaking project. In this case, it's not just about an opinion, as Eric Lahon was so enamoured with the Montsant vineyards and their wines that he decided to buy his own vineyards (Mas Lahon). This is a fine white wine, brimming with aromas and intense flavours that will definitely wow you. What's more, it's perfect for pairing with dishes that call for wines with presence. Its subtlety shrouds an elegant wine with all the expressiveness of the Montsant Garnacha. Simply wonderful.
In the vineyard
Selection of old vines. 450 metres above sea level. Different types of soil, although slate predominates. The harvest takes place in September, taking advantage of the coolest hours of the day. In 15-kilo boxes.
In the winery
Aged for 10 months in new 225-litre French oak barrels and weekly bâtonnage. Without clarification or stabilisation, or filtration to preserve the characteristics of the Garnacha Blanca.
Cooperativa Falset - Mas Lahon
The Cooperativa Falset-Marçà (DO Montsant) is the result of the merger between the Marçà and Falset cooperatives, two neighbouring towns just a three-kilometre drive apart in the southern part of the Priorat region.
Do Montsant
In 1932, the Falset subzone was created within the limits of the DO Tarragona, which had previously occupied the current territory of the DO Montsant (finally created in 2001). It currently has a total of fifty-nine wineries spread between the Priorat and the Ribera de Ebro. The DO covers everything from family vineyards to private wineries of various sizes and major cooperatives.
