Clos De Les Dòmines Blanc
The Clos de Les Dòmines Blanco Barrica is a very special white wine, both for the method used and for the complexity of its coupage. A prime example of the white varieties from Empordà vineyards. The robustness of the Cariñena Blanca gives it an exuberant personality.
Type of wine
Garnatxa blanca, Garnatxa roja, Carinyena blanca, moscatell d’alexandria
Designation of origin
Style of Wine
Fine white wine
White wine with an intense pale yellow colour with golden hues.
On the nose, lingering notes of ripe white fruit with floral hints and gracious nuances of wood predominate.
On the palate it's an elegant, unctuous, balanced wine, with a good structure and a lingering afterTastinge.
A barrel-aged white that stands out for the fact that it's made solely from the unpressed grapes of its different varieties, an expensive process but one that delivers magnificent results. A wine aged with a fully integrated wood bouquet.
Between 10 and 12 degrees
Perfect for fish, shellfish, white meats and some varieties of soft cheese.
Now, this is a truly amazing wine. Special, different, one-of-a-kind and, above all, outstanding. If you Tastinge it, always with moderation, we promise you that it will create a bit of an addiction. Your mouth will start to water and you'll be wowed by its finish. A special wine also for anyone who tends to steer away from wood. Give it a try and we're sure you'll reconsider. It's so well integrated! With a seafood platter or some soft cheese, it will make you shed a few tears. You have been warned!
In the vineyard
Made with grapes from vineyards over 60 years old, with resistant vines that have lived in poor soil. Its yield is low but very selective.
In the winery
White wine obtained exclusively from unpressed grapes and fermented in Allier French oak barrels. Aged for 6 months on its fine lees with weekly bâtonnage.
Celler Cooperatiu d'Espolla
The building of the Bodega Cooperativa de Espolla cooperative opened its doors on 8 November 1931, designed by the architect Pelayo Martinez and inspired by the so-called wine cathedrals of the Tarragona area.
The project had its origins in the Espolla Agricultural Union, established in 1906 by its winegrowers.
Wine culture reached Catalonia around the sixth century BC thanks to the most important Greek colony in the country, Empúries.
Four centuries later, the wines of the Emporiae territories were well-known in domestic markets, in other provinces of the Roman Empire and in the metropolis itself.
