In the vineyard

Selected Garnacha and Macabeo vineyards over 25 years old, harvested at the optimum point of ripeness. "The scarcity of white varieties in our vineyards forces us to treat them with special care. This care and our work result in a wine like this".

In the winery

24-hour maceration with the skins and saignée of the unpressed grape. Fermented at a controlled temperature for 10 days. Part of the unpressed Garnacha grape ferments in new French oak barrels and is aged for 4 to 5 months with bâtonnage. Coupage of the wine from the barrels with the wine from the stainless steel tanks.

In 1932, the Falset subzone was created within the limits of the DO Tarragona, which had previously occupied the current territory of the DO Montsant (finally created in 2001). It currently has a total of fifty-nine wineries spread between the Priorat and the Ribera de Ebro. The DO covers everything from family vineyards to private wineries of various sizes and major cooperatives.
