V89 synthesises the experience of El Olivo in the production of white wines since its beginnings in 1989. To make this wine, the best Macabeo of the vintage and the best new French oak barrels are selected.

The first pairing we propose, and this is a true winner, is French toast with foie gras caramelised with peach caviar. A festival for the senses. The continental nature of this region, far from the sea, kept it off trading routes for centuries, resulting in wines with characteristic features.
It was the first place in Catalonia where the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay varieties were introduced, together with native varieties, and also where Californian winemaking techniques were adopted.
