Occasion
A magnificent wine to enjoy by the glass, but be careful as the bottle will last for next to no time. Prepare the tissues because you'll have a tear of happiness in your eye.
In the vineyard
Made with grapes from vineyards over 30 years old. The combination of Cariñena Blanca and Muscatel give it a very special personality.
In the winery
Made with musts slightly macerated and fermented at a controlled temperature in concrete tanks. Stalled fermentation to maintain a little residual sugar and then ageing on its fine lees, with weekly bâtonnage for four months.
Celler Cooperatiu d'Espolla
The building of the Bodega Cooperativa de Espolla cooperative opened its doors on 8 November 1931, designed by the architect Pelayo Martinez and inspired by the so-called wine cathedrals of the Tarragona area.
The project had its origins in the Espolla Agricultural Union, established in 1906 by its winegrowers.
Do Empordà
Wine culture reached Catalonia around the sixth century BC thanks to the most important Greek colony in the country, Empúries.
Four centuries later, the wines of the Emporiae territories were well-known in domestic markets, in other provinces of the Roman Empire and in the metropolis itself.
