Can we help you? A team of professionals at your serviceThe Celler Montsec is a section of the Cooperativa de Artesa de Segre. At the beginning, and in keeping with local traditions, winemaking was the cooperative's main activity.
The transformations experienced by agriculture in the 1960s and 1970s meant that this crop was replaced by cereals, as they were less labour intensive and more compatible with livestock farming. Due to the Community Agricultural Policy, the fall in cereal prices and technological advances in winemaking, the cooperative's partners have created new plantations with the latest varieties on the market, which are more modern and of a better quality.
Vineyards located within the Artesa de Segre subzone: Algerri, Alòs de Balaguer, Artesa de Segre, Balaguer, Castelló de Farfanya, Foradada, Menàrguens and Montclar (in the municipality of Agramunt).
The vineyards are in the process of being converted to organic farming. Wines made with natural yeasts from the vineyards themselves. Production of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines. Young and aged wines.
