The Agrícola Corbera de Ebro was founded in 1959 in Corbera d'Ebre. It now has more than one hundred and fifty partners who produce wine, oil, nuts and sweet fruits. A cooperative spokesperson says, "We live and work in the Terra Alta, a territory steeped in history and with a long winemaking tradition".
Garnacha is one of the distinguishing features of its wines, which are accompanied by other varieties such as Macabeo, Parellada, Tempranillo, Merlot, Mazuelo, Syrah and Cariñena. The area basks in a Mediterranean climate with strong continental influence and low levels of precipitation. These conditions, accompanied by a high-altitude terroir and strong sunshine, make the wines robust and well-structured.
The white wines of Agrícola Corbera de Ebro are characterised by highly intense flavours on the palate, while the red wines are generally robust and textured, made with the classic varieties of Cariñena and Garnacha.
